Visit two important historical sites in Turkey in this 2 day tour from Istanbul.
Pick up from your centrally located Istanbul hotel at approximately 06:30. We then commence our drive to Eceabat, stopping halfway for a comfort stop. On arrival in Eceabat you will enjoy some tasty local Turkish cuisine and then commence your tour of Gallipoli, the place where the famous Battle of Gallipoli between Allied and Turkish forces took place. Your tour will include ANZAC Cove, where thousands of soldiers on both sides lost their lives. We will also visit other important sites on the Gallipoli Peninsula including Lone Pine, the Australian memorial and the New Zealand memorial, Chunuk Bair.
At the end of our tour we will cross the famous Dardanelles Strait by ferry. This was a strategic crossing point for the Allied armies to cross from Europe to Asia Minor and so was fiercely guarded during the war.
You will be dropped at your hotel. Free evening to explore the beautiful seaside city of Canakkale. We recommend you take a stroll down to the waterfront and soak up the atmosphere.

Pick up from your hotel at approximately 08:45 and then commence our visit to Troy, the ancient site made famous by Homer in the Iliad. It dates back to 3000 BC and has been the site of nine different cities throughout the centuries. Free time to visit Canakkale in the afternoon and then bus back to Istanbul where you will arrive about 10.30pm this evening.
Note: you also have the option to catch a bus to Selcuk or Kusadasi after your Troy tour.
